A Freckled and Odd HOP!

SOG FF
present….

A Freckled and Odd hop!

You should have arrived here from Soraya's blog; if so, you’re on the right track!  If not, you can start from the beginning at the Freckled Fawn blog.

Fawnies and Oddies share the stage, mix up products and bring the WOW with a fun blog hop that runs now through Monday, May 5th at midnight EDT! See how cute and quirky stamps pair up with sweet and darling embellishments as you hop along, and be sure to leave a comment at each stop because there will be two winners! Each will get a fabulous prize from BOTH Some Odd Girl and Freckled Fawn!

I used the Freckled Fawn April OH DEER ME embellishment kit to make a couple of birthday projects.

The first one is this fun little card...
It used Some Odd Girl Preppy Pups,  Hipster Pets, and Owl Days clear sets. From the Freckled Fawn April OH DEER ME embellishment kit, I used a puffy sticker, washi tape, and velum letters.

I also made a little pillow box party favor...
I used the cute little wooden banner from the April OH DEER ME embellishement kit .  I painted it, then sanded the paint off  - which just leaves the letters.  I also used the Some Odd Girl clear sets Hey Kaylee, Owl Days, and Kaylee's Closet: Party Time

Now you’re off to Alexis’s blog, but I also have the full hop list for you below:
Enjoy the Hop and feel free to go at your own pace over the next few days - but be sure not to miss anybody, because our winners will be randomly drawn from ANY of the blogs along the hop!

Thank you SO MUCH to Freckled Fawn and the amazing Fawnies for joining us for this event!

Crochet Team Spirit Hats

Have you seen the Team Spirit yarn from Red Heart?  It comes in all sorts of color combos and is great for scarfs and hats.  You can make one of these fun hats with less than a skein of yarn.

I made this one in Auburn University colors...

I made this one in my daughter's school soccer team colors...

You don't have to make them for team or school colors...they have a black and orange that would be super cute for Halloween.  If you want to crochet these hats for yourself, just click here for the pattern.

Who is ready for the Easter Bunny??? I'm still working on a few cards myself.

Here is one I made today.

I used the Some Odd Girl set Hip Hop Hooray and colored the images with colored pencil.  I also used some Doodlebug paper and twine.

I'm going to link this one up at Some Odd Girl for the Linky party.  Why don't you join me and show off your Odd creations too?!?

It's an EGG-stravaganza!

This has been a week full of fun new releases over at Some Odd Girl.  Have you checked out the cute new clear sets and new digis??  If you haven't, what are you waiting for???  Go see what's new in the shop.  While you're there, take a look at my video tutorial that's up on the blog today. It will show you how to use the new clear sets (Bunny Girl Gwen and Hip Hop Hooray) to decorate Easter eggs and make little egg stands.

Here is a little peek of the finished project...

CUTE, huh??  If you want to find out how to make them for yourself, just head over to the Some Odd Girl blog and watch the video.

Let me know what you think and tell me if give it a try yourself.

Hip Hop Hooray!!

I'm back today with another NEW clear stamp set from Some Odd Girl.  This one is called Hip Hop Hooray. {Makes me think of that song from the 80's.  Remember it??} This set has 2 adorable bunnies, a carrot, an Easter basket, and 4 sentiments.

Here are a couple of Easter crafts I made using this set...
The little basket on the eggs stand is colored with markers.  For the goody bag, I just stamped the bunny onto pink card stock and the basket onto yellow card stock (I paper pieced the grass and eggs on). I added a little shading with chalks. That's an easy way to get color if you don't have markers or colored pencils.  The title is stamped onto washi tape using StazOn ink.

You'll want to hop on over to the Some Odd Girl blog so you can see the EGG-celent creations made by the other Odd Girls.  Trust me, they are crazy cute and you will not want to miss them!! While you are there, check out the NEW Odds&Ends Spring Bling Mix and Triangle sequins in the shop.

Bunny Girl Gwen

I have something for you today that will add a little happy to your Monday! I am going to introduce you to Bunny Girl Gwen, the newest clear stamp set from Some Odd Girl.  She is super fun with her cute ears, tail, and GIANT carrot. Perfect for Easter cards, spring crafts, and scrappy pages.

I colored Gwen with markers and paper pieced her skirt.  The sentiment is heat embossed. In addition to Gwen, this set comes with 3 sentiment stamps and 1 heart shaped stamp.

Click on over to the Some Odd Girl blog to see what the other Odd Girls created with Gwen.  While you are there check out the Linky Party we have going on. It's a fun and easy way to show everyone your Odd crafts.

Drop back by tomorrow to see another NEW Some Odd Girl clear stamp set.

I'm an Odd Girl...again!

Hi everyone! I am super excited to announce that I am on the Some Odd Girl Design Team for my 3rd term!! I just LOVE the Odd Family, so getting to be a part of this group for another term is magical to me.  This term will be a year long and we have two teams....our digi girls and our clear stamp girls.  I will be on the clear stamp team.  We have a lot of fun and different things coming your way, so stop by the blog frequently...you don't want to miss anything!

The Odd Girls were asked to share their favorite Some Odd Girl project.  Narrowing it down was  hard...really really hard because I love them all, but here is one I finally decided on.  I picked this project because I love Snow White for sentimental reasons (I sorta even look like her) and that big apple background just makes me smile. You can't get much better than an ODD Snow White!

I used the clear stamp set Snow White

I hope you take a minute to go over the Some Odd Girl blog and meet all of the Odd Girls.  Say hello and leave them love.  Thanks for stopping by!
